Day 1: Nairobi CBD – Great Rift Valley – Lake Elementaita

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi CBD as you travel through Kenya’s picturesque highlands towards the magnificent Great Rift Valley. En route, stop at the famous Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of one of the world’s largest geological wonders—an ideal location for photography and stretching your legs.

Continue to your selected lodge or camp in the Lake Elementaita area, arriving in time for check-in and a delicious lunch.

Later in the afternoon, set out for an exciting game drive around Lake Elementaita. This beautiful soda lake, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its peaceful scenery and remarkable birdlife. Keep an eye out for zebras, giraffes, gazelles, impalas, warthogs, elands, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals and playful troops of baboons. Bird enthusiasts may spot greater and lesser flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles, cormorants, herons and numerous migratory bird species, making this a true paradise for wildlife photography.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Lake Nakuru National Park Safari

After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full day exploring the spectacular Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s premier wildlife destinations.

The park is internationally famous for its thriving populations of both Black and White Rhinos, making it one of the best places in Africa to encounter these endangered giants. Throughout the day, enjoy extensive game drives across the park’s acacia woodlands, open grasslands and lakeshore habitats.

Wildlife sightings may include lions, elusive leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, zebras, impalas, baboons, vervet monkeys, hyenas and, occasionally, the rare tree-climbing lions. Along the lake shores, admire spectacular congregations of flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles, kingfishers, storks and countless other bird species, while enjoying the stunning scenery of the Great Rift Valley.

Enjoy your picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive in search of more incredible wildlife encounters.
