Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi Wilson Airport – Fly to Maasai Mara | Into the Heart of the Wild

Arrive at Wilson Airport for your scheduled morning flight to the Maasai Mara. Enjoy spectacular aerial views of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley before landing at one of the Maasai Mara airstrips.

Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Governors’ Camp or Governors’ Il Moran Camp, with game viewing often beginning immediately during the transfer.

After check-in, enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the Mara River before relaxing at camp while listening to the sounds of the African wilderness.

Later in the afternoon, head out for your first exciting game drive through the vast golden plains of the Maasai Mara in search of elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, antelopes and, during the migration season, enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara ecosystem.

Day 2: Full Day Exploring the Legendary Maasai Mara

Rise before sunrise for an unforgettable early morning game drive, when predators are most active and the African savannah comes alive with spectacular wildlife encounters.

Return to camp for a leisurely breakfast before spending the late morning relaxing by the river, watching resident hippos and crocodiles or simply soaking in the peaceful wilderness atmosphere.

Following lunch, venture out once again for an extensive afternoon game drive across different sections of the reserve. Your experienced guide will track wildlife while sharing fascinating insights into the Mara ecosystem.

Depending on the season, witness the awe-inspiring Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-filled river crossings, one of Africa’s greatest natural spectacles.

As the sun sets over the endless plains, return to camp for dinner and another memorable night beneath Africa’s star-filled skies.
