Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Your Africa Safaris Adventure begins with a warm welcome by our professional safari guide. After breakfast, depart Nairobi and journey north through Kenya’s fertile central highlands, passing coffee plantations, pineapple farms and the magnificent slopes of Mount Kenya.

Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch before relaxing at camp. Later, enjoy your first thrilling afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, leopards and the unique Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Begin the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is at its most active. Return to camp for breakfast and enjoy leisure time before another exciting afternoon safari.

Samburu offers one of Kenya’s most authentic safari experiences with fewer crowds and exceptional wildlife viewing along the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River.

Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, depart for the lush central highlands with a stop at the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, East Africa’s leading wildlife conservancy and sanctuary for endangered black rhinos and chimpanzees.

Continue to Aberdare National Park, where you’ll transfer to the iconic The Ark, a unique tree lodge overlooking a floodlit waterhole. Spend the afternoon watching elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, hyenas and other wildlife visit the salt lick from the comfort of the lodge.

Day 4: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, transfer back to the base hotel where your safari vehicle awaits before heading to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Enjoy an extensive game drive through this famous sanctuary, home to endangered black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards and hundreds of bird species.

Later, continue to the peaceful shores of Lake Naivasha for an evening of relaxation.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Hell’s Gate National Park

This morning, enjoy a scenic boat safari across Lake Naivasha where you’ll encounter pods of hippos and abundant birdlife. Continue to Crescent Island Sanctuary for a guided nature walk among giraffes, zebras and antelopes.

Later visit Hell’s Gate National Park, famous for its towering cliffs, dramatic gorges and geothermal activity. Continue to the Olkaria Geothermal Spa for a refreshing swim in naturally heated mineral-rich waters.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, travel through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Arrive in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive across the endless golden plains in search of lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, leopards and countless other wildlife.

Day 7: Full Day Maasai Mara Safari

Spend the entire day exploring one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations.

Enjoy extensive game drives across the reserve with a picnic lunch near the Mara River, where giant crocodiles and pods of hippos thrive. During migration season, witness the breathtaking spectacle of thousands of wildebeests crossing crocodile-infested waters—one of nature’s greatest shows.

Optional early morning Hot Air Balloon Safari is available.

Day 8: Maasai Mara – Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and travel back to Nairobi for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant before continuing south to Amboseli National Park.

Arrive in the evening beneath Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, whose snow-capped peak creates one of the continent’s most iconic safari backdrops.

Day 9: Full Day Amboseli National Park

Rise early for spectacular wildlife viewing as the morning sun illuminates Mount Kilimanjaro.

Enjoy a final early morning game drive as you bid farewell to Kenya’s magnificent wilderness.
