Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional Africa Safaris Adventure safari representative. After a short briefing about your exciting safari, you will be transferred to your comfortable hotel in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s renowned Northern Safari Circuit.

Spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your international flight. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to enjoy the hotel’s facilities, unwind by the swimming pool, or simply prepare for the incredible safari adventure ahead.

As the sun sets over Mount Meru, enjoy a delicious dinner while anticipating the unforgettable wildlife encounters that await over the coming days.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After an early breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden safari gems and home to some of East Africa’s largest elephant populations.

Named after the Tarangire River, the park serves as a vital water source that attracts thousands of animals throughout the year. Its spectacular landscape is dotted with ancient baobab trees, rolling savannahs, seasonal swamps, and acacia woodlands that provide the perfect backdrop for an exciting game drive.

Keep your camera ready as you search for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, impalas, elands, warthogs, and an incredible variety of birdlife.

Following an extensive game drive and picnic lunch inside the park, continue to the beautiful town of Karatu for dinner and overnight at your luxury lodge.

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

Today you journey towards one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations—the legendary Serengeti National Park.

The drive takes you through the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area before entering the endless plains that have made the Serengeti world-famous.

The Serengeti offers exceptional game viewing throughout the year and hosts the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration, one of nature’s greatest wildlife spectacles. Vast herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles roam the plains while predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas closely follow.

Enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive as your experienced guide searches for Africa’s incredible wildlife before arriving at your luxury tented camp located within the heart of the Serengeti.

As darkness falls, relax under the African stars while listening to the distant sounds of the wilderness.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Highlands

Wake up to another spectacular morning in the Serengeti before enjoying breakfast surrounded by one of the world’s richest wildlife ecosystems.

Embark on a final game drive across the endless plains where every turn presents new opportunities to witness unforgettable wildlife encounters. Watch prides of lions resting beneath acacia trees, graceful giraffes browsing peacefully, elephants roaming freely, and countless antelope species grazing across the savannah.

Later, begin your scenic journey towards the magnificent Ngorongoro Highlands, enjoying wildlife sightings along the way.

Upon arrival at your safari camp, relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of the highlands while enjoying breathtaking views and exceptional hospitality.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

Today promises one of the greatest safari experiences in Africa.

After an early breakfast, descend over 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.

The crater floor is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, offering one of the best opportunities in Africa to spot the Big Five within a single day. Your game drive may reveal lions, endangered black rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, hippos, wildebeest, zebras, jackals and numerous bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the famous hippo pool before continuing your exploration of this natural wonder.

In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and return to Karatu for a relaxing evening at your lodge.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha – Departure

After breakfast, depart for the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park, nestled dramatically beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Despite its relatively small size, Lake Manyara offers remarkable biodiversity and unforgettable scenery. The park is famous for its legendary tree-climbing lions, impressive elephant herds, playful baboons, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes and more than 400 bird species, including flamingos and pelicans that often decorate the lakeshore.

Enjoy a rewarding morning game drive as you explore groundwater forests, open grasslands and lakeside habitats while soaking in the park’s incredible beauty.

Following lunch, begin your scenic drive back to Arusha before transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your unforgettable Tanzania safari to a close.
